Hi,
I started the development of the Premium Edition yesterday and a lot of good stuffs have been done so far. A little sneak preview of the coming settings panel just for you (still under development but the major options should be there…).
The development might be faster than expected and I really hope to give few people the chance to try this pre-release in order to improve it before the official launching. I think that the multi-sports aspect is very important so I’m going to need people with different sports leagues (you can contact me if you’re interested…).
I’m also trying to improve the user-friendliness of the Plugin even-tough it’s currently quite good. I’ll need your feedback and ideas to make sure the navigation inside PHPLeague stays as simple as possible.
Stay tuned to get more information and screenshots about PHPLeague for WP…
I know that the following sound a little bit harsh but I don’t want to put more energy on the Core Edition anymore so I’ll focus only on the Premium for this month and probably the others (you’ll get some minor updates soon to make sure she’s compatible with the Premium Edition).
EDIT – 02/10/2011: An new release is now available since this afternoon. It fixes a couple of issues. More information in here: Bug Tracker

I appreciate the plugin you are developing. I am very interested in helping with the multi-sport version which you can change headings, league names and such.
I have 2 different sites I can use to test on.
Let me know, thanks!

Hi, I’m testing PHPLeague on my site: http://polishsoccer.net/wp/?page_id=2
Is there a way to display team info?
I am interested in what features you will have in your premium version. Will there be player info and stats? Team and league stats? Venue info?
Mikaweb
Hi,
Team info ( coach, venue, big logo ) will be available in the next release ( this week-end ).
Players stats and league stats available in the Premium Edition. More team information available in the Premium like ( website, creation date, description, geolocalisation, … ).

I would like to change the fixture to games or something else. I believe this is a soccer term, but I am wanting to utilize for American Football.
Let me know, thanks!

Yeah, fixture v game. I wanted to put game but all the official PL websites are using fixture so I followed them.
You got 2 possibilities!
You can edit the files directly but it will be pain in the ass if you don’t know what you’re doing or you can create a new language file with your modifications.
Basically you need to open the PHPLeague.po file in the i18n directory then edit this file with POEdit. Save the file under the same directory (something like that : phpleague-en_US.po) and it should be fine. Make sure that the en_US is your WordPress language.

And by the way, as English is not my mother-tongue, I’ll appreciate if you have any complaints about the terms used.

Thanks for the info! Let me know when you have the premium and I will purchase it to help with the bug life.
Thanks for your help!

A new version has been released this morning. You can now have a look in here: http://www.mika-web.com/phpleague-for-wp-demonstration/
Keep in mind as I said in the first comment there that I don’t optimize the CSS for the front-end section, it should be your job to do that for your own website.

- Few UI improvements
- You don’t have to fill-in every field when you’re creating a club anymore
- You’ll be receiving notifications when an optional criteria is wrong
- Few changes in the database and add a field in preparation to Premium Edition
- Couple of PHP/SQL improvements
- More options in your league’s settings
- 2 new fields in the club information (creation date & website)
- Possibility to add that kind of characters (é, à, è, ü, …)
- You can now show your club information in the front-end
Find more information about that release in here: http://www.mika-web.com/phpleague-for-wp-bug-tracker/

About the Premium’s price, I don’t have any idea but I’ll sell it directly from that blog through Paypal & Co for less than I’ll sell it elsewhere.
I’ll probably give away 3-5 applications for the launching. I’ll put in place a Support memberships as well to help people customize the look’n'feel and the functions of their personal website.
